About us

About Europe Commodities

Europe Commodities is a business-to-business trade publication for the people who move, price and finance physical commodities across Europe.

We cover commodity trading, energy, oil and refined products, fuel oil and bunkering, shipping and logistics, with an editorial centre of gravity on European ports, refineries, storage hubs and regulation. Our readers are traders, brokers, charterers, terminal and bunker operators, risk managers, analysts and the banks and service firms around them.

What we publish

Our brief is constructive market intelligence: infrastructure investment, capacity additions, commercial agreements, regulation that changes how business is done, fuel transition milestones and operational developments at Europe's trading hubs. We prioritise stories that a market participant can act on, and we write them in plain, precise language with the numbers and the sourcing intact.

How our newsroom works

Every story begins with a verifiable primary or established secondary source — port authorities, regulators, exchanges, statistical agencies, listed-company disclosure and recognised trade press. Sources are scored for reliability, claims are cross-checked, and each published article carries its source attribution in full so readers can go back to the original document.

We use AI assistance in parts of our drafting and enrichment workflow, always against attributed source material and always under human editorial control. That process, and its limits, are described in our AI & content policy and editorial standards.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom alone. Commercial partnerships never influence coverage, and any sponsored material is clearly labelled as such. We do not publish defamatory claims, unverified allegations or market rumour presented as fact.
